NUST School of Art, Design & Architecture (SADA) is seeking a motivated candidate for a Research Assistant position for an ongoing Tabletop Water Dispenser Design Project.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and refine industrial design concepts for a tabletop water dispenser.

Create detailed 3D CAD models and production-ready engineering drawings.

Develop functional prototypes and conduct design iterations.

Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to optimize product design.
-
Work on 3D printing and sheet metal fabrication processes.

Coordinate with the research and development team for design development, prototyping and testing.
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design or Product Design.

Strong proficiency in 3D CAD modelling and technical documentation.

Advanced-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.

Experience in functional prototyping and product development.

Good understanding of DFM principles and manufacturing processes.

Practical expertise in 3D printing and sheet metal design/fabrication.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative research environment.
